Carrie began riding as a young girl and is a successful Event rider and a well rounded trainer. She was ranked 2nd in the Nation as a USEA Junior Novice rider and later won the USEA American Eventing Championships, Adult Rider National Training Level Champion, and National Reserve Team Championship. Along with carious Regional Area V awards and recognition, Carrie currently holds her USEA 'r" Cross Country Course design certification. She has trained through the US and Germany and mentored under well-known Olympic, Pan AM, Rolex, and European champion riders. Aside from producing all of her own competition horses, Carrie's experience as a trainer includes training and client/horse prep for international Show Jumping barns, head instructor for private lessons at high end Event, Show Jumping, and general riding barns in and around the San Antonio Area for the past 10 years. Carrie is the owner of Powder River Equestrian, a private lesson barn specializing in English riding, Eventing, Jumping, and Dressage. Carrie strives to provide quality instruction creating a solid foundation with safety and horse/rider happiness foremost.
